Important Updates During COVID-19

Please note our updated hours, closures and policy changes. To help keep everyone safe during the Coronavirus emergency, we have made changes to our hours and policies at Syracuse Area Health. We greatly appreciate the community’s outpouring of support and cooperation during this difficult time. To better stop the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the risk of exposing our patients, dedicated staff and providers, and to better ensure your safety, we have made the following temporary changes.  

Syracuse Family Practice Clinic April and May Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Facility Closures:

  • The Lettuce Eat Café is closed to the general public.
  • The Syracuse Area Health Auxiliary Thrift Shop is closed for both shopping and donating.
  • Fitness Plus will open on May 18th with limitations and changes.  Visit the Fitness Plus page to learn more.

Visitor Policy Changes:
Due to heightened concerns about the spread of COVID-19, 
NO VISITORS are allowed in our facility or clinics except the following:

  • Pediatric/Minor Patient (limited to one healthy parent/guardian)
  • Dependent Adult (limited to one healthy guardian)

Transfer and wheelchair assistance will be provided by staff when needed for outpatient and clinic appointments.

In limited circumstances, a healthy adult support person may be considered for the following situations:

  • Patient presenting to the emergency department (limited to one support person if needed)
  • Patient care partner needing teaching and instructions prior to discharge (as determined by the care team)
  • Patient receiving end-of-life care (number to be determined by the care team)
  • Special circumstances (as identified by the care team)

Additionally, visitors are not permitted in isolation rooms.
